ScervGear emerged as a distinctive contender within the Santa Cruz Accelerates accelerator program. With a commitment to merging artistic flair with functional design, ScervGear specializes in outerwear that supports the active lifestyles of boarders without compromising on style.

Founded by August Duncan, a passionate boarder who obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion Design and Apparel, ScervGear began with a simple mission: to design skateboard pants that offered complete freedom of movement. This initial concept has since expanded to include a line of technical outerwear for both skating and snowboarding, embodying the founder's vision to enhance the performance and confidence of athletes.

The startup's inspiration is deeply rooted in the founder’s personal experiences in action sports. Each piece of ScervGear apparel is tested by athletes, refined based on their feedback, and designed to enhance natural body movements. The garments combine style elements from streetwear, like top stitching and functional pockets, with performance features such as technical vents and articulated arms and legs for maximum mobility.

Currently, the ScervGear team comprises the founder/designer and his father, who brings a business background to the startup.
